Inside the boat, under the seats, are a number of small ivory paddles. Umiaqs are not a common theme among ivory carvers, making them an uncommon find. It appears the boat was mounted on a base at one time, as two baleen pegs and some wood splinters remain. 2 1 2 inches long x 5 8 inches wide, x 1 2 inch high, not including pegs. This item,
