This stunning coat was made from rich black wool crepe in the late 1930s

It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with gathered shoulders and a nipped waist that is cinched in using an original fabric tie belt

however there is some crinkling to the leather from previous improper storage which we have softened with balm and largely corrected using shoe stays so this should barely be noticeable when worn now

The skirt is in good condition

Please note there are no openings and the dress slides on over the head
