A second matching bias trim was used slightly further up the hat to mirror the line of the edge

The dress features functional pockets at the hips and a large inverted pleat at the front of the skirt gives it wonderful movement

Original Late 1950s 50s Vintage Black Velvet Hat Mayfair Shoulders: 18”The lovely hat was made from sumptuous black velvet in the 1950s. It is fashioned as a cap to fit closely to the wearers hat. The hat features a decorative mock upturned brim at the front which sweeps around the hat, terminating in a sharp point at the back of the hat. This has been created through the use of shiny soutache cord to delineate the mock detailing. A black button decorates the side of the hat. Inside, there is a black grosgrain hat band
