A version of this same hat has also just been re issued by Saint Laurent, a testimony to the enduring impact of this design. This is one of the originals and is wonderful. It is made of an extremely fine braided straw with a wide black, silk grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the brim. The hat is a miniaturized version of the boater and meant to sit high on the head
