1950s Beaded & Embroidered Silk Gown designer-ted-lapidus sleeveless and with a flatteringThis is an amazing example of the work and craft that was being out into evening gowns in the fifties. This gown is a work of art and has the resulting richness and decadence to show for it. A rich, heavy silk satin in a thick cream color has been extensively detailed top to bottom. Silk cord is hand applied and embroidered to the gown. Onto that dense hand applied sequins are done in clusters to give little glints of light. Bead work adds another
