This beautiful suit was made from a blue wool in the late 1940s / early 1950s
a bat wing style cover over sleeve and a hole at the underarm suggesting it could possibly be worn as a cape (see separate picture above)
The dress is in very good condition with only a gray under the arm as pictured that needs suring up
